Labradorite (named after the peninsula of Labrador in Canada, where it was found) is a plagioclase feldspar. It shows a shiller (labradorescense) in lustrious metallic tints, often blue and green. It can be found in Canada, Australia, Madagasgar, Mexico, Russia, and the United States. Is also called Spectrolite and Madagasgar Moonstone.
